Welcome to the Critical Urbanisms family in 2025!
Two weeks ago we had the pleasure to welcome new members to our CU family here in Basel.
Our new students from the Spring 2025 intake kicked off their journey with a warm welcome session organized by the Coordination team and the Fachgruppe. While our second-year students prepared for their fieldwork in Kenya or Cape Town, the new cohort experienced a less intense—but no less exciting—start to the semester. They began registering for Urban Across Disciplines courses and free electives, setting the stage for an engaging academic journey.
Although winter still lingers, the forecast promises rising temperatures in the coming weeks. Wishing everyone a fantastic start to the Spring Semester 2025—welcome to Critical Urbanisms!
