Urban Studies at the University of Basel was established within the Department of Social Sciences in 2016, following a strategic initiative of the Rectorate. The division reflects and benefits from the multidisciplinary constitution of the Department of Social Sciences, as well as from exchange and collaboration with disciplines from across the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
